Lawrence Makerspace is committed to bringing the best tools and facilities possible to its members.  The facility we are constructing is state of the art.

The current plan is to provide access to the following technologies, however, these may change if local regulators disallow the use of specific tools or equipment at our site.


Machinery and Tools*

3x CADD Drafting Stations

Dual monitor computer workstations with CADD software pre-loaded.  Members will have access to Auto-CADD, Google Sketchup, Blender, Art of Illusion, TopMod3D, Wings3D, StructureSynth, OpenSCAD and Others.

ShopBot BT48 3-axis CNC (or equivalent)

A small footprint CNC (computer numerically controlled) machine designed for industrial, commercial, or residential applications cutting in wood, acrylic and non-ferrous metals.  website

Laser Engraver/Cutter

Category 3 24" x 16" CNC laser cutter and engraver. website

Cabinet Saw

5HP 10" Table Saw with 50" Fence website

Milling Machine

An all-purpose metalworking mill for milling, drilling, and boring. An accurate, reliable, and versatile mill.  website

Drill Press

Along with drilling and boring operations, drill presses can be equipped with attachments for Mortising, Routing, Shaping and Sanding.website

3X Soldering Stations

Features a 60 Watt Soldering Iron, a weighted soldering iron holder and a 500 Watt Hot Air Gun. website

Thickness Planer

The planer is used to create boards that are of an even thickness throughout their length and flat on both surfaces. website

Routing Table

a woodworking machine that allows you to cut profiles into the piece.website

Black & color laser printing for documents and small drawings. website

Air Compressor

Air compressor provides compressed air for tools and other devices in the workspace.website

Lawrence Makerspace is a private facility and is not open to the public.  All memberships in the organization are subject to review by Lawrence Makerspace staff.  We reserve the right to deny membership to anyone for any reason.  Provisional members who are denied full membership will have their payments refunded within 7 days.
